At the 2009 Taste of Vail celebration, Executive Chef Mark J. Millwood received the People’s Choice Award for his Lamb Hash Eggs Benedict. Later in 2010, he took second place at the Taste of Vail Lamb Cook-off for his Garlic Braised Lamb Tamales. Executive Chef Mark J. Millwood and his talented culinary team are dedicated and proud to use local, organic and sustainable ingredients as often as possible.
First Chair Cafe
Vail Marriott Mountain Resort & Spa is proud to announce the opening of First Chair Cafe, a Colorado breakfast house. The first part of your day is in good hands with Executive Chef Mark J Millwood and his talented team of culinarians. Enjoy all of your favorites and a few new ones at our grand breakfast buffet. Have an omelet cooked just the way you like it or sample our French Toast and Waffle Sundae bar. We offer everything from smoked salmon with all the fixings to cured meats and imported cheeses.
Our new ala carte menu is a classic mix where new meets old traditions. Put a twist on things and have our Eggs Benedict Florentine, prepared with grilled Portobello's and baby spinach or stick with the ever popular Traditional Eggs Benedict. Chef Millwood has incorporated award winning dishes, such as his Lamb Hash Benedicts, which won the People’s Choice Award at the 5th Annual Colorado Lamb cook-off with our delicious Marriott breakfast favorites.
