Vail Marriott Mountain Resort offers regional cuisine in it’s Ocotillo Restaurant as well as Avalanche Pub. Mercer A. Mohr, Executive Chef for the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort & Spa, is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and was recently named National Hotel Chef of the year for his work with the American Culinary Institute.

Chef Mohr has had a prestigious career serving at notable hotels and restaurants including AAA Five Diamond Camelback Inn, A JW Marriott Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, AZ; The Clift Hotel and Caviar Café in San Francisco, as well as, Inn on the Park in Houston.
Throughout his career, Chef Mohr has garnered several awards including 1996 San Francisco “Chef of the Year” and the esteemed James Beard Award.
